Why did Yelp Suddenly Become So Important?

 

 

As most iPhone users know, the latest Apple upgrade removed Google Maps as the primary mapping application, and replaced it with a new one from Apple.

One thing that we feel is a big deal now is that Apple is providing Yelp results right on the map when doing a search for a type of business. This means that anyone searching for a particular type of business, like ‘restaurants’ will now see that information is provided on your Yelp profile directly from the Maps App.

So now is the time that you may want to make sure your address and category is correct. Its also easy to add photos, update hours of operation, and your basic business information. This will definitely be something that influences how customers think your business at a crucial time - the time in which they are making an active purchase decision. Would you go to a restaurant with a one star rating? What if the address was out of date and you couldn’t even find it?
