Are Facebook promoted ads a good value for your business?
Facebook rolled out a neat little feature last week that allows you to pay to have Facebook make sure that your people who Like your Page actually see your post. We can see this is a powerful little way to advertise events or announcements without having it look like an ad.
We did an experiment with a post last week, and for $10, we had 1,336 people see a post we made (it said our reach would be about 1800 people). This is much higher than the previous two posts we did that had 596 and 400 people reached. It broke down our paid reach and said that the ‘paid’ portion equated out to 914 people, or somewhere around a penny each.. not a bad CPM, so we can see this being a very useful tool, as long as people don’t start blocking your posts from excessive posting.
